Keysight LXI mDNS Responder 32 Patch
This patch is not needed if you install IO Libraries Suite 16.3 or later
A 32-bit mDNS responder is required for 32-bit applications running on a 64-bit OS when using IOLS 16.2. Installing the 32-bit mDNS responder patch below will add a 32-bit mDNS responder to appropriately resolve mDNS names to an IP address for these applications.
Additional information:
IOLS 16.2 resolves LAN equipped instruments, such as the M9502A or M9505A AXIe chassis with driver version 1.1.1.1, using mDNS hostname resolver services. Enhancements to IOLS 16.2 added support for the IPv6 protocol, which required behavioral changes in the way Keysight Connection Expert presents this information to application software, such as SFP applications for the AXIe chassis. In both 32 and 64-bit OS, the appropriate name resolver is installed for the respective OS. However, in the case when a 32-bit instrument application is run on a 64-bit OS, an appropriate 32-bit resolver is not found to resolve the hostname address. The 32-bit mDNS responder patch above will add a 32-bit mDNS responder to appropriately resolve the name to an IP address for these applications.
