Testing for high-volume manufacturing boards requires a printed circuit board (PCB) panelization technique and a parallel test system that enables operators to test multiple boards. This technique fits smaller, less complex boards into a manageable panel size that is more cost-effective and reduces loading time and test time significantly. In addition, massively parallel testing enables simultaneous testing of multiple boards.
This reduces the need for additional fixtures, test operators, and floor space, ultimately saving costs and improving production scalability. Apart from in-circuit testing (ICT), manufacturers require in-system programming with a read / write capability to perform flash programming. The system should also support the integration of functional test instruments and power systems to meet various test requirements and to keep up with high production volumes.
