Install a License from Keysight Software Manager
You have received license files from Keysight Software Manager either by email or download. Use Keysight licensing tools to install these license files onto the PC or instrument where your product is installed.
The email that you receive from KSM includes specific license installation instructions for your product and type of license. In many cases, the appropriate license management utility is included with the installation of your Keysight product, or is preinstalled on your Keysight instrument.
Install the license
Depending on the type of license (node-locked, USB dongle, floating, or transportable), and the license manager utility used, the procedure to install and set up a license varies. For detailed information refer to the online help in the license manager utility you are using.

A brief list of the steps to set up a node-locked license using PLM follows:
- Launch PathWave Manager.
- In the Add License tab (shown at startup by default) click +Add a License File.
- Browse to the location you have saved the license you received from KSM.
- In the Open dialog box, select the license file to install, then click Open.
- Click Add Now to install the license.
