This software is written in HP-BASIC. It was designed to complement the pager test capability of the 8648A option 1EP. Compared to the 8648A option 1EP internal encoder that operates real-time, the software generates data, up to 128 frames long, and then downloads it into the 8648A arbitrary message buffer. The software does not use the 8648A internal encoder to generate the data pattern. The data pattern is generated by the software. This operation allows the software to create complex messages such as a group message.

Program Execution

  1. Start HP BASIC for Windows
  2. With the MSI command, specify the directory that includes the software as the system mass storage unit.MSI "c:/pager"
  3. Get the software into the HP BASIC memory: GET "cwgen"
  4. Press Run softkey to run the program.
