Product Description
The Keysight 5517CL Laser Head contains an automatically tuned Helium-Neon laser, circuits to control the laser, and a reference optical receiver. The laser generates a coherent, collimated, two-frequency beam of light.
The Keysight 5517CL is used primarily in VME and PC based laser interferometer position measurement systems where the application requires strict thermal management and medium velocity range, less than ~350 mm/s (with plane mirror) or ~700 mm/s (with linear optics).
This is a Class II Laser Product conforming to U.S. National Center for Devices and Radiological Health Regulations 21 CFR 1040.10 and 1040.11.
Laser Wavelength Accuracy and Stability
Keysight lasers provides high vacuum wavelength accuracy 0.1 ppm (3 sigma lifetime) and high vacuum wavelength stability typical 0.002 ppm (1 hour) and typical 0.02 ppm (lifetime).
Laser Reliability
Keysight lasers are known for their reliability, with a mean time between failures (MTBF) of greater than 50,000 hours typical.
Laser Interferometer Position Measurement Systems
