Double Data Rate Fourth Generation (DDR4) compliance testing requires an oscilloscope with high enough bandwidth to measure the 3.2 GT/s data rate and advanced measurement analysis capabilities. Accurate measurements require a low-loading probe and interposer to access the memory signals without creating signal integrity issues. Automated compliance test software helps users set up and run compliance tests on the memory device.
The compliance test software should cover measurements such as eye diagram analysis, mask testing, and ringing. These are critical for characterizing DDR4 devices. Finally, the software should include the measurement's pass / fail status according to the Joint Electron Device Engineering Council (JEDEC) standard specification for DDR4 and LPDDR4 (low-power) devices.
