The Keysight 83480K Communication Test Enhancement enables optical modules and eye-diagram measurements in the Keysight 54750A. The addition of the appropriate optional firmware gives the Keysight 83480A Digital Communications Analyzer or the Keysight 54750A High-Bandwidth Digitizing Oscilloscope the full feature set of both models.
To download the 83480K Communication Test Enhancement file, right click your mouse button on the 83480K Communication Test Enhancement link below. Save the file as AUTOST without any extension to a DOS formatted disk, preferably a disk that was formatted in the Keysight 54750A or Keysight 83480A disk drive. If the stored file name includes an extension, rename the file AUTOST or it will not be recognized by the mainframe.
To load the Keysight 83480K into the mainframe, insert the AUTOST disk in the disk drive and cycle power. After the disk drive LED goes out ( a few seconds), remove the disk from the disk drive and cycle power again. The additional features will be enabled and the mainframe will recognize all modules supported by the revision of instrument firmware.
