Highlights

The S8714A UXM 5G RF Application is an easy-to-use and fast solution for RF testing. The simple UI, quickly selectable measurements, easily viewable results from multiple measurements, and automatic procedures for common protocol use cases make the RF application the ideal solution. For hardware integration, performance optimization, regression and design verification testing, and repair.

Easily verify RF performance of 5G NR NSA and SA devices with built-in 3GPP tests. Simply select the test from the drop-down menu and the RF application automatically configures parameters according to 3GPP and starts the measurement. Save test development time since understanding the 3GPP specification in detail is not necessary. Supported tests include:

  • LTE
  • 5G NR FR1 SA
  • 5G NR FR1 SA for UL MIMO including full Tx power for s6.2D.1 with PC 1.5 devices
  • 5G NR FR1 SA for 2UL CA and Tx diversity
  • 5G NR FR1 NSA
  • 5G NR SAR regional profiles
  • 5G NR maximum IP data throughput
  • NB-NTN device test. Configure satellite and device positions, RTT delays for feeder and service links and also GSO doppler parameters.

Quickly modify parameters essential for RF testing such as channel, band, and bandwidth. By entering a new value from the main screen – the change is made automatically with the RF application’s intelligent signaling. Change multiple parameters simultaneously by configuring a single blind handover.

Many 5G NR devices such as CPE also support WLAN. Use Keysight’s S8714A UXM 5G RF Application to measure the RF performance of WLAN AP. Measurements are based on IEEE for 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax/be. Support for 320 MHz B/W, 4x4 MIMO and 4096QAM.

Test WLAN Access Points as well as Clients. Test FWA and perform WLAN – 5G Coexistence tests.

Optimized for speed, the S8714A UXM 5G RF application is designed for RF testing with intelligent signaling and efficient usability. Reduce time to market with this essential solution for RF verification of 5G NR devices.

Test Wi-Fi 7 Designs with Confidence

For Wi-Fi design, both access point (AP), and client, the correct test approach is to focus on the radio frequency (RF) level first and work up the protocol stack. Issues with RF performance affect all testing at the higher level, so it is vital to understand the particularities of that operation before determining whether high-level tests are consistent. Learn more about how our new E7515W UXM Wireless Connectivity Test Platform can help you test and reliably verify WLAN Performance, including Wi-Fi 7.

Maximize RF testing of Wi-Fi 6E access points and clients

Watch how a WLAN 802.11ax AP is emulated with 1024QAM in the 6 GHz band to test a mobile phone client. Transmitter and receiver measurements provide analysis of RF performance during a live connection with signaling. Measure transmitted channel power, occupied bandwidth (OBW), spectrum emission mask (SEM), power vs. time, and EVM including detailed modulation accuracy results such as frequency error, peak EVM, and IQ constellation. A cross-correlated EVM (ccEVM) measurement is used to demonstrate measured performance < -40 dB. Characterize receiver packet error performance with the PER vs. power measurement and its selectable power steps and power range. The intuitive GUI of the RF application makes testing Wi-Fi devices quick and easy.
