The ART 02.00 Keypad patch corrects any keypads that may have malfunctioning "Open/Close Board" and "Variation OK" keys.

Some keypads for use with ART 02.00 repair clients may have shipped with "Open/Close Board" and "Variation OK" keys that are not correctly programmed.

Using the MIDWIN software that was shipped with your keypad and the .LAY file under "Related Links" below, you can remedy this problem. Complete instructions from the manufacturer (TIPRO) were included with the keypad on how to use MIDWIN to re-program the keypad. If you do not have the instructions or the software, they can be obtained from TIPRO's website.

ART 02.00 Keypad Patch Instructions

1. Follow the instructions included with the TIPRO keypad to install the MIDWIN software. Microsoft Windows NT is the recommended operating system for this software. Using a laptop computer is not recommended by TIPRO.

2. Shut down the computer.

3. Attach the keypad to be re-programmed to the PS2 port on the computer and the keyboard of the computer to the port on the keypad.

4. Re-start the computer.

5. Open the MIDWIN software.

6. Choose File > Open and then choose the ART_Keypad2-0_13Feb03.lay file that you downloaded (below).

7. Click "DL & Verify" to install the .LAY file.

8. Close MIDWIN. Shut down the computer before disconnecting the keypad.

TIPRO Website Instructions

1. Click on the TIPRO website (under "Related Links" below)

2. Click on Support.

3. Click on MID Software WINDOWS 95/98/NT/2000.

4. Download the MIDWIN 309.exe, save the file on your PC and run it.

5. Follow the instructions to program the keypad. Please note that you can also download the MID User's manual from the same Support page.

Keysight recommends using the most current version, which includes the most up-to-date bug fixes and security patches available.
