Keysight Repair Tool 03.00p Keypad Patch

Customers updating their ART 1.0 and 2.0 to ART 3.0 must also update their keypad. The keypad now uses a new layout file for ART 3.0. This does not change the functionality of the keypad buttons except for one button. The exit button on the top-right hand corner has been eliminated.

Updating the Keypad Program for Use with ITF Software Solutions 3.0

Follow the steps below to update your keypad program for use with ITF Software Solutions 3.0:

Required Materials:

• Tipro User's Manual
• Tipro MIDWIN software
• ITF Software Solutions 3.0 Keypad Patch (keypad layout file)
• Keypad
• Computer

Step I: Getting the Tipro User's Manual and Tipro MIDWIN software

1. Go to the Tipro website, http://www.tipro.si
2. Click Support. You will see a section to download software.
3. Click MID User's Manual to save the manual to disk.
4. Go back to the Support page.
5. Click MID Software Windows 95/98/NT/2000.
6. Click MIDWIN_xxx.EXE to download the software.
   Note: The characters "xxx" indicate a software version from Tipro. MIDWIN_xxx.EXE could be MIDWIN_309.EXE or a later version.
7. Save the program to disk.

Step II. Getting the ITF Software Solutions 3.0 Keypad Patch

1. Click on the ITFSS 3.0 Keypad Patch.
2. Save the file to disk.

Step III. Updating the Keypad Program

Once you have gathered the Tipro User's Manual, Tipro MIDWIN software and ITFSS 3.0 Keypad Patch, follow the steps below to update your keypad program for use with ITFSS 3.0:

1. Follow the instructions in the Tipro User's Manual for installing the MIDWIN software on a designated computer. It is recommended you install MIDWIN on a computer other than the Client PC.
   Note: Do not install MIDWIN on a laptop computer.
2. After installing the MIDWIN software, shut down the computer.
3. Attach the keypad to be re-programmed to the PS2 port on the computer.
4. Attach the keyboard to the keyboard port on the keypad.
5. Re-start the computer.
6. Open the MIDWIN software.
7. Choose File > Open.
8. Browse to and select the ITFSS 3.0 Keypad Patch file.
9. Click DL & Verify to install the keypad patch file.
10. Close MIDWIN.
11. Shut down the computer and disconnect the keypad. The update procedure is complete.
12. You may now re-connect the keypad to the Client PC by shutting-down the Client PC and connecting the keypad to the PS2 port.
13. Repeat steps 2-12 for any other keypads you would like to re-program.
