3D EM simulation engine based on the Finite Difference Time Domain (FDTD) modeling technique for electrically large structures.

Highlights

The W4003E PathWave FDTD includes:

  • Finite Difference Time Domain (FDTD) simulator
  • Analyze electrically large structures, e.g. airframes, vehicles
  • Broadband time domain  3DEM simulator

FDTD is used to study a wide range of applications, including: antenna design, microwave circuits, bio/EM effects, EMC/EMI problems, and photonics. FDTD is an inherently parallel method and therefore lends itself very well to solving electrically large structures such as aircraft or vehicular radar cross sections.
