The i3070 2-module and 4-module Inline In-Circuit Tester, shown in Figures 1a and 1b, use a Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) ladder diagram to program PLC address and data, which is called "auto-code". The Autocode can be used to set up or change various settings and configurations, such as the "dual board staging" setting. To modify the settings during production changeover, operators or technical staff need to enter Maintenance mode with a passcode using the touch panel. However, granting such access to operators can pose a security risk, and mistakes in setting changes could result in the system entering a nooperation mode, which can decrease the production output. To address these challenges, this application note describes the process for setting up auto-code in the test plan. This approach allows for the reconfiguration of the system without accessing Maintenance mode, reducing the risk of operator error and system compromise.
